Elevator Pitch No. 1

I have a lot of friends who really enjoy eating sushi, but don't always have the time to sit down to eat it or run into the nearest Publix to take it to go. Therefore, I came up with an idea to have a drive through sushi place called Roll Through, where customers can also come in to eat sushi as well as get it to go. When thinking about my idea there was a stipulation concerning the freshness of the sushi since raw fish is a very specific food that should always be fresh. A solution I had in coming to this problem is that there will be a predetermined menu for sushi rolls, and when customers come through the drive through and order a roll, that roll will already be pre-made or being made as it is often done in Publix.

  1. Hey Lauren, you have a great idea and as a sushi lover myself I would love to see a place like that open. I can't imagine how much more often I would be going to Sushi Chao if they had a service like that. Similarly to my pitch, you elaborated on the specifics of your company like how the sushi could remain fresh. The name you came up with is great and I also created a name that is a play on words. 2. Hi Lauren,
What a catchy name! I think it definitely has the potential to go head to head with the college favorite, Bentos. I love sushi and a drive through sushi place would be amazing. I also really enjoyed your pitch as well. For me, it was hard for me to look into the camera because I did not memorize it all the way but it seems like you had everything down! It was clear and to the point and had my attention from beginning to the end of the pitch.

Great post and you can check out my pitch at

  3. Lauren I love this idea! I do eat a lot of sushi so I would definitely be an avid customer of Roll Through. I like that you spotted the issue of possibly not being able to provide fresh sushi beforehand. Seems that you are a quick thinker and great problem solver. 4. Hey Lauren,
I recently discovered that Sushi is amazing and I can't get enough of it. I definitely like the idea you have going here about sushi on the run. I would absolutely go to it. I would just say make sure you research areas that you would want to open up in. My father is in the culinary industry and knows all about the hassles of choosing a good location.

  5. Cool cool solution. I love sushi and I am always interested in finding good sushi spots wherever I go. There are a few in Orlando where I live that strive to provide a great atmosphere but their sushi is so-so, whereas there might be other locations that aren't as trendy or cool looking but their sushi is great tasting and fresh. I like that you will concentrate on freshness and keeping the product at the perfect temperature to ensure great taste and convenience. Good luck with your project and the rest of the semester.
